Hortensia Anderson
Central Park Bandshell
The wisteria are in bloom behind
the bandshell. We smoke grass as
we have over the past three decades.
A cop passes and I hold the joint out
to him with a wink.
He smiles and disappears.
Beneath the trellis, we sit enjoying spring
cool with the warmth of holding hands.
