Tonight is the anniversary of our first date. Though it was 25 years ago, I can recall the events of that evening as if it were yesterday: parked by the lake, playing penny poker, listening to love songs on the radio . . . Occasionally she would palm an ace or a king. I knew she was cheating and I didn't care.
