Taking Charge

She adores long lunches. Meticulously applying her makeup, and dressing in something new in her favoured colour. Often, she selects the newest wine bar or restaurant in town, which has received the most favourable review. Judiciously planning the day and making a list of who to invite. But today she is organising a special event. She has booked the local hair salon, where trays of canapes are arranged, and bottles of bubbly placed on ice. Her closest friends are gathering.
