The Bad Guys

We’re almost never going to take your baby. But we’ve gotten a bad rap from so many fairy tales making us out to be the villains, when really, we’re the ones wronged to begin with.

Take Rapunzel for instance. The lady next door stole the witch’s plant because she was hungry. Can people just take what they want without any consequence? Okay, so maybe it was an overreaction to take her baby. I’ll give you that. But the story starts out with a crime against us.

And then there’s Hansel & Gretel. Who wouldn’t be mad if someone came and ate their home? Can kids just steal other people’s property? It’s another story of HUMANS being hungry and taking what they want. And of course, the witch was exaggerated for effect. Like we would really eat those horrible kids. (Only the nice ones taste good.)

I say it’s all about perspective and who’s telling the story.
