Cabin Fever

I want to fall in love again and so go to the local guitar shop and ask for a used acoustic. A tattooed young man hands me a sweet-looking Yamaha. I strum first-position chords with my arthritic fingers. “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away,” he says. “From the album Help and one of Lennon’s best.”

  1. Hi Tom, I thought about the baritone uke (4 strings the same as the guitar) I bought myself several years ago. You had the good fortune to have the young tattooed man recognize the tunes you played. I’m not sure anyone would recognize the tunes I play. But I’m going to try “you’ve got to hide your love away”. Bring your guitar along and visit me on a warm summer evening on my deck looking out onto the North Sasketchewan River and I’ll treat you to a beer. Cheers, Ray R.
