Immersion

What do you want to be when you are reading a poem?
—John Levy

Alive. Alert.
Pulled into an image

only to come out

deranged, slightly
out of breath,

spinning a top in the centre
of a metaphor,

cracking it open
like pomegranate seeds.

I am the juice.

purple rain for the ever after
