Leaving Urubamba on the bus to Cuzco, Henry, the local guide,
recalls his most memorable trek to Machu Picchu: leading a
group of fourteen blind hikers for eight days. They have special
permission to place their hands along the Incan walls.
However, it is the group’s chance meeting with a mother
and her blind child, on the train, that moves him.
