After Dark

Visiting the Lincoln Memorial, it’s almost midnight. Still warm and humid, hundreds of kids are here. Glow sticks and phone screens light the darkness. Silhouettes lounge on the steps. Some clown around, a few couples cuddle. Here and there the aroma of pot wafts upward.
