Suppose you had a snowglobe with a tiny ship at its centre and fixed to the mast a figure. Suppose you shook it and shook it and shook it till it slipped from your hand and shattered.

  1. Wow! This is an indirect metaphor for life and so much that goes wrong with it when carelessly shaken by our own hand.
