Bouwe Brouwer

Wildlife Park

There's a word on the compartment door. Scratched in. With a key, probably. Behind me two men start a fight. There's pushing and a loud scream rings out. One of them angrily steps out of the compartment onto the platform. A little later we're running again.

Outside the city there's a nature reserve. I watch the tranquil grazing of a herd of highland cattle. The youngest girl in the family opposite looks out the window and asks: "Is this the wilderness?"
