That damn cricket. He's right below our bedroom window. I'll never get to sleep, even if there isn't any snoring beside me. Nothing has changed after all these years, after the birth of our children, their childhood, teenaged rebellions, college and their perceived freedom. Now we're alone and I'm left listening to a small black bug living for the moment.
