Butterflies in Heaven

Before Sabine's mother dies, she calls her
daughters to her bed. She is an artist and
and says she has decided to paint butterfly
wings in heaven.

Afterwards, I tell Sabine about Kwan-Yin,
the thousand-armed bodhisattva of mercy–it
seems to me her mother will need those hands
to hold the brushes.
