I look her up on social media and stumble upon her obituary. It is fairly recent and puts an end to the question of what she is doing these days. I wouldn’t have gotten in touch had I found her among the living. It’s just that I’m struggling to define love. The obit states that a son survives her. His age suggests a rebound and it makes me wonder.
