Contemporary Haibun News:

The following note from Jim Kacian of Red Moon Press will be of interest (and possible distress) to all haibun lovers:

“With some sadness Red Moon Press announces the discontinuation of its Contemporary Haibun series. It has been a very good run, and we have taken a lot of pride and pleasure in creating and implementing this annual collection, and making it a viable enterprise. However, as we have an increasing demand on our time and energy, we feel that we must let some things go, and unfortunately this is one of the things we've chosen. We hope that another press or individual seizes the opportunity to offer an annual, substantial collection of English-language haibun in our absence, and that the genre continues to flourish.”
