It was in the dim street light that I saw her. The day’s warmth belied the coming cold of night, and there she was, dressed in those low-rise jeans with the built-in worn look that’s so trendy right now. Because of the lighting, all of her seemed to be in shadow except her pants. I watched as she strolled further up the street, her denims moving in and out of darkness.
